This is my porcelain lamp "test" with electric light. I call it a "test" because it is the first one I have made, and was intended as a test. However, it came out so nicely that I can hardly call it a test, can I?

It is about 35cm tall, and made of 100% hand built porcelain that has been fired to 1260° C. The porcelain itself is about 1-2 mm thick, with a slightly thicker bottom. The light source is a halogen spotlight.

This is lovely :wow:
I really like the staggered seam on each layer; how it's inporporated into the design rather than being the "unsightly" side of the lamp =P beautiful texture as well :) diffuses the light quite nicely while sort of shimmering.

It does have a very particular shine and light about it that you really only get with porcelain. I do really like how my fingerprints create texture. It's like I have left a piece of myself in the light :aww:

The jewellery I started doing as a way of having something smaller to sell at markets, as large vases and lamps tend to get too expensive for that. I really like it, though. I have done a few tests using porcelain and painting over with one of the darker colours on earrings. I shall see if I can get a good picture and upload one :aww:

Ah I see, I really love your jewellery it would be a good sell because your jewellery is amazing just like the larger lamp and vase:aww:.
I would love to see your ceramic earrings with the darker colours.
