This pendants are made of a mix of Audrey Blackman porcelain and terracotta, and have silver plated findings. The pendants are not glazed, but are fired to 1260°C for vitrification. The colour is a result of the clay mix and the high firing temperature.

The pendants are about 55 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick.

I love how fine and delicate they look. The lack of glaze is a gorgeous counterpoint to the thin, fragile-looking pendants. Very rustic and beautiful.

They are quite fiddly to make, but all worth it when they come out of the kiln!
I really like the purity of the clay, and find it a bit "wrong" to cover it in glazes that can contain toxic materials. As long as I don't have to use glazes, I keep them clear :aww:

I imagine they were. The raw texture of the clay makes it so tempting to touch.
